My fam bam is totally NUTS about “The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature,” movie and we were thrilled to attend the premiere and talk to the cast last week in LA. This new film hits theaters Friday August 11th! In celebration of the new film, we are giving away a movie gift pack to enjoy to one lucky family.

Synopsis

Surly Squirrel (Will Arnett) and the gang are back!  We are once again in Oakton where the evil mayor has decided to bulldoze Liberty Park and build a dangerous amusement park in its place. Surly and his ragtag group of animal friends band together to save their home, defeat the mayor, and take back the park.

THE NUT JOB 2 also features the voice talent of Katherine Heigl (The Nut Job), Jackie Chan (Kung Fu Panda 3), Peter Stormare (Penguins of Madagascar), Bobby Cannavale (Ant-Man), Isabela Moner (Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life), and Maya Rudolph (The Angry Birds Movie).

Will Arnett plays the voice of Surly. He talked about how much his two boys, ages 6 and 8 loved the film. “Their reaction was so real and so organic, because it has to be or else they’re in trouble.” Will entertained us with his sharp wit and sarcasm.

Precious (Maya Rudolph) said,”I think that’s really the beauty of getting to do projects that you can share with your family. My kids get excited. Although my youngest who’s four, we were watching the movie together, she kept looking at me and checking me out. Then she would look a the dog, then she would look at me.”  Her daughter said, “That’s you mom!”  Chuckles….

Bobby Moynihan is the evil mayor of Oakton.

The cast members talked about the silliness and chaos of parenting. The moderator asked Bobby,  “Are you taking notes?”  He responded, ” Yes, I am trying to. I am getting very terrified as they speak.”

Jimmy (Gabriel Iglesias) aka “Fluffy” said, “Nos estan pagando mas dinero por eso hicieron un part two.” (They are paying us more money, that is why they made a part two).  Stand up comedian, Iglesias never fails to get laughs from an audience.

There was never a dull moment during the press conference and we laughed hysterically the entire time.

This movie is great for the entire family. Go see The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature in theaters August 11th!
