Here is a list a movies to enjoy with your significant other on this special day. Snuggle up, open a bottle of red wine, and celebrate your love.

The Notebook

I recently had the privilege of watching “The Marvels,” and let me tell you, it’s not your typical superhero movie. In fact, it defies the very conventions of the genre, delivering an experience that is as unique as it is mesmerizing! Directed by visionary filmmaker Nia DaCosta.

“The Marvels” takes us on a journey through the multiverse, weaving together multiple storylines that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The film seamlessly combines elements of drama, science fiction, and breathtaking visual effects, creating a cinematic masterpiece that challenges our perception of reality. One of the most striking aspects of the movie is its exceptional cast. Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers, and Teyonah Parris as Captain Monica Rambeau brings their A-game to the screen, delivering performances that are nothing short of extraordinary. There are also many purrrrrfect surprises and belly laughs that I know you will truly enjoy as much as I did.

Nia Vardalos effortlessly slides back into her role as Toula, bringing the same charm and relatability that made us fall in love with her in the first film. John Corbett’s Ian remains the perfect foil to Toula’s zaniness, providing a steady and loving presence throughout the movie.

The heart of this film lies in its portrayal of the immigrant experience, rediscovering roots, and the importance of preserving cultural traditions while embracing change.

It beautifully captures the essence of what it means to be part of a loving and sometimes overbearing family, and the universal themes of love, acceptance, and the desire for a brighter future resonate with audiences from all backgrounds.

Jane is beautiful as ever! She has not done very much voiceover work, and she nailed her character “The Dragon.” We love to see that she brought some of her personality to her character.

Everyone is asking who the LUCK Movie cat voice is? And yes, It’s talented voice actor Simon Pegg. We love his adorable character. He is loads of fun in this film.
