Weekend Brunch at Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill: Fresh Flavors, Agua Frescas & Margarita Flights

Weekend Brunch at Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill: Why It’s a Must-Try for SoCal Foodies

If you’re looking for a wonderful Sunday brunch in Southern California, look no further than Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill. Rooted in over 50 years of family tradition, Rodrigo’s brings authentic Mexican cuisine, bold flavors, and warm hospitality to the table and their weekend brunch menu, handcrafted Agua Frescas, and Margarita Flights take the experience to the next level.

Thank you Rodrigo’s for hosting my family. All opinions are my own.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch with two of the most important women in my life my amazing mom and my beautiful sister Rosa. Life gets so busy, and these rare, uninterrupted moments together mean everything. Rodrigo’s gave us more than just a meal, it gave us a space to reconnect, laugh, and make memories over food that felt like it was made with love.

Authentic Mexican Brunch with a Modern Twist

Rodrigo’s weekend brunch, available every Saturday and Sunday, offers a flavorful take on classic brunch dishes. We feasted on Chilaquiles, sizzling breakfast Asada and Huevos, and hearty Huevos Rancheros, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and rich, traditional flavors that transport you straight to Mexico.

The vibe is cozy, vibrant, and perfect for family gatherings, girlfriend brunches, or casual weekend dates. Whether you dine inside or relax on the patio, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer.

Handcrafted Agua Frescas: A Refreshing Brunch Essential

No brunch at Rodrigo’s is complete without trying their new Agua Frescas, now available at all locations. These refreshing, fruit-forward drinks are handcrafted daily using real ingredients. The current lineup includes:

  • Pepino & Limón – Cool and crisp cucumber with a citrusy lime twist
  • Horchata – A creamy rice-based favorite with cinnamon and sweetness
  • Jamaica – A bold, tart hibiscus blend with a vibrant ruby color

Perfect on their own—or spiked for an extra kick—these drinks are a fresh, flavorful addition to any meal.

Margarita Flights: A Fun Twist for Your Weekend

Want to add a little extra fiesta to your brunch? Don’t skip Rodrigo’s Margarita Flights. This colorful quartet of house margaritas lets you sample a variety of flavors in one sitting. It’s perfect for sharing with friends or simply treating yourself to something new. Every margarita is crafted with care, and the presentation is as Instagram-worthy as the taste is unforgettable.

Why Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill Should Be Your Next Brunch Destination

From the heartfelt hospitality to the bold, delicious food and drinks, Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill delivers a brunch experience that’s as rich in culture as it is in flavor. It’s a place where tradition meets creativity, and where every dish tells a story.

What made it even more special for me was sharing it with my mom and sister. Between the laughs, delicious bites, and refreshing sips, we were reminded how important it is to slow down and savor these everyday blessings. Rodrigo’s made us feel right at home and I can’t wait to go back.

Celebrate the Holiday Season at Citrus City Grille

And just like that the holidays are here!

It’s time to enjoy the season with our loved ones. I love restaurants that are family owned and operated. Earlier this month, I dined at Citrus City Grille in Orange. Charlie Cosmas recently purchased the restaurant, and he was gracious enough to introduce himself. Cosmos is from Athens, Greece and we chatted about his bout beautiful home country, and how much we both love food and travel. I could tell he was very passionate about his dishes, and about his new restaurant.

Disclosure: Thank you Citrus City Grille for hosting us. All opinions are my own.

This eatery is located in the heart of old Orange. The colorful ambiance is warm and inviting, and it has been in operation for 27 years.

The staff is super friendly. and the menu has many traditional options with a touch of Mediterranean.

GREEK –

Romaine / Tomatoes / Onions / Kalamata Olives / Cucumbers / Bell Peppers / Feta Cheese / Oregano / EVOO-Vinaigrette
