Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
Actor Ray Park (Darth Maul) gave us lightsaber training. It was by far one of the coolest things we have ever done! I have to admit it was not as easy as I thought, and I almost whacked Ray Parker in the face… Oops
Ray Parker talked about his 8 hour a day intense training while preparing for his role. His story is truly inspiring!
Mr. Camacho was all smiles because he can now watch SOLO at home!
This fun and fast-paced space adventure, compliments the saga and is a special treat for longtime fans.
I love these two adorable hairy men! lol

I am a HUGE fan of Freaky Friday… As a kid, I would run around the house in red spray painted hair, and reenact scenes from the 2003 film starring Lindsey Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis .
Anna (in Tess’s body): I’m old!
Tess (in Anna’s body): I beg your pardon!
Anna (in Tess’s body): Oh, I’m like the Cryptkeeper
My mom would laugh, and even played along. When I heard Disney was producing a new Freaky Friday, I was a bit reluctant to watch it because I loved the 2003 version so much. But let me tell you, this new remake blew me out of the water! Last week we got a sneak peek of the new film before it aired on the Disney Channel, and I can’t get the catchy tunes out of my head.
Thank you Disney Channel for inviting us to see Freaky Friday, all opinions are my own.
Disney Channel’s “Freaky Friday” is a madcap body swap musical comedy about a mother and daughter (Katherine and Ellie Blake) who magically spend a day in each other’s shoes. Katherine and Ellie face a variety of challenges trying to get through the day as each other and ultimately learn a lot about what life is really like on the other side of the generation gap. In the process, mom and daughter navigate relationships, work, school, fitting in, standing out, and getting by all while facing the hard truth of their altered reality.
This Disney Channel Original Movie is the fifth iteration of “Freaky Friday,” but the first in telling the story through music on screen, with the musical numbers progressing the story as well as heightening the emotion of the actions of the story. Adding song and dance to the subtext of each scene, each character’s inner dialogue is emphasized and all the more relatable to the viewing audience. The story and the music gets a message across about empathy — and how the empathy we develop for our parents extends to the rest of the world.
I loved the ethnically diverse cast, a strong girl lead with short hair, and the inspiring entrepreneur mother in in the new film. Did I mention how amazing the music was? My little brother and I danced in our seats. He told me how much he wanted to sing at school because of the Adam’s funny character. Freaky Friday opened up our hearts, and reminded us how much we love performing!
From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time. Based on the timeless classic and filled with spectacle, warmth and heart, this celebrated film follows an ordinary girl’s epic adventure and brave journey to save her family, with the ultimate triumph of love. Featuring an all-star cast including Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Chris Pine, and eye-popping action—it’s fun for the whole family!
The mini delicious assorted sandwiches and desserts were delectable. Honey dripped from my spoon as the birds chirped in the gorgeous garden.
My daughter smiled with her large floral coronet, talking about how Opra had always been symbolic and an icon in her life. A Wrinkle in Time was Clarissa’s favorite book as a kid. She would dress up as a scientist and read snippets to her father, until he fell in a deep slumber. The book allowed her mind to run amok, and keep her scientist dreams alive. She constantly created worlds that consisted of Hot Cheetos, my little pony, and travel.
After watching the film, she said it fulfilled her expectations. More so considering the diversity was everything she had hoped. At the tea party she sipped her tea, and rubbed caviar from a salmon sandwich on her upper lip, “I’m Mr. Murry are you ready for tesseract travel? ”
Since the release of the film, Andrew and Clarissa have watched it a few too many times. Her tiny primas (cousins) can recite the film lines almost as well as she can. But hey explaining what a tesseract is, is a cool party trick, right?
My son played in the garden with his friends, and he often stopped to take a whiff of the scented flowers that surrounded him.
On numerous occasions, I had to stop and take pictures of the stunning flowers. The garden was heavenly and so peaceful. I can’t wait to go back and explore.
My son has become quite the history buff, and had a great time exploring the estate at the gardens.
I of course, often have to hide it or throw it away…
In celebration of the new Incredibles 2 Movie, my son and I made some easy Snack Buckets.
These adorable buckets will help him “fuel up to stay incredible!” More importantly, they are healthy and Mom approved!
I have listed the instructions for you to make them with your kiddos at home. I have also included a printable Incredibles 2 Activity Kit to enjoy with your family! (see below)

But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
Written and directed by Brad Bird (“Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille”) and produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles,” “Tomorrowland”) and Nicole Grindle (“Sanjay’s Super Team” short, “Toy Story 3” associate producer), Disney•Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” busts into theaters on June 15, 2018.

As a young girl, Star Wars was the center of my galactic daydreams. After the release of the Empire Strikes Back in 1980, Princess Leia became my idol. She was a strong, gorgeous, and a badass princess. One halloween, I constructed a homemade Leia costume. My costume consisted of an old ivory bed sheet, and my hair wrapped into two buns. My mother wasn’t fond of my creation, and begged me to dress into something more classic. She said, “Can’t you be Raggedy Ann? A princess? A nun? COME ON MIJA, ANYTHING ELSE?!” I winked at her and I headed out to trick or treat (with an overflow of self confidence might I add).
Earlier this week, my childhood dream came true… My son and I screened Star Wars: The Last Jedi, at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. The whole experience was memorable and magical! This new epic film can now be seen in theaters everywhere…
Thank you Disney for inviting me to screen Star Wars: The Last Jedi. All opinions are my own.
Synopsis
In Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Skywalker saga continues as the heroes of The Force Awakens join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past.
When my childhood idol Leia (Carrie Fisher) hit the big screen, I was overcome with tears. This fierce actress was a heroine and such a big part of my playtime memories… She will be missed.
There were many intense battles that kept my son and I on the edge of our seats.
In the Last Jedi we are introduced to a strong, Asian American female actress. Asians only have 1% of leading roles in the movie industry. However, this is 2017! One of the largest franchises in the world, has EXCITINGLY created an Asian female lead. Now, Asian American children can look up to Kelly Marie Tran…

Earlier this month my son and I headed to Walt Disney Animation Studios in Los Angeles, California to screen Disney Pixar COCO. I am overjoyed about this new magical movie. Disney Pixar has created a timeless film, that is important and symbolic for the Latino community.
Thank you Disney Pixar for inviting me to screen COCO. All opinions are my own.
Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
About Dia De Los Muertos (Day Of The Dead)
Mexico is a place of rich culture, traditions, and artistic expression. The celebration of Dia De Los Muertos is a perfect example of this.
“Dia De Los Muertos” is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. It includes the creation of private altars called ofrendas. These decorated altars honor the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting graves with these gifts.
COCO depicts the authentic sight and sounds of this beloved celebration. The film also showcases traditional food, pueblo life, and music that fills the air during festivals like this one.
“As soon as we decided that we wanted to tell a story that takes place in Mexico, we immediately booked our first research trip,” says director Lee Unkrich. “Over the course of three years, we visited museums, markets, plazas, workshops, churches, haciendas and cemeteries throughout Mexico. Families welcomed us into their homes and taught us about the foods they enjoy, the music they listen to, their livelihoods and their traditions. Most importantly, we witnessed the importance they place on family.”
The story takes place in Santa Cecilia. It resembled many pueblitos that I have traveled to in and around Mexico. There were so many little details that Disney Pixar included. There were rustic cobblestone roads, street vendors, and stray dogs that roamed the streets.
Art director Bert Berry said, “We wanted to play up the beautiful patina of the older architecture. Our hope was to depict Santa Cecilia as an older charming city, and we used aged building materials such as chipping plaster, hand-painted tile and signage, and cobblestones to accentuate the history and appeal of the town.”
This film also showed the importance of familia in the Mexican culture. It is relatable, and the characters resembled my own tias, tios, and primos (aunts, uncles, and cousins).
There were many heartwarming and memorable moments that made me think of my loved ones that have past on. My son said, “Mom I’m trying not to cry.” It was so sweet to see his reactions and how moved he was by the story.
Most importantly, I am thrilled that Disney has created a film that my son can identify with the characters and the community. In fact, I thought he looks a lot like Miguelito.
The music was delightful and entertaining..
I was elated when I noticed that Ernesto de la Cruz’s character looks so much like Pedro Infante, a famous musician and actor in Mexico.
According to film producer Anderson, the authenticity was important. Filmmakers wanted to ensure that the film’s music not only sounded genuine, but looked genuine, too. “We used footage of musicians as reference so that when Miguel strums his guitar, it looks right. We recruited a number of talented musicians from Mexico whose ability to pour their hearts into this music makes all the difference in the world.”
Disney definitely did their homework, and were so respectful to the traditions and the culture.
“Día de Muertos is like a big family reunion that spans the divide between the living and the dead,” says director Lee Unkrich. “But it isn’t about grieving; it’s a celebration. It’s about remembering those family members and loved ones who’ve passed, and keeping them close.”
This sensational film celebrates the beauty of life and death, and gives moviegoers a glimpse into a rich culture and el sabor de Mexico. Go see it with your entire familia…
Disney Pixar COCO will hit theaters November 22nd and my familia can’t wait!
Earlier this month, I made it out to the Disney Pixar COCO press conference in Beverly Hills, California to meet with the all star Latino cast. This important new film has brought up an important discussion in my family and also within the Latino community. This press conference was memorable, and will go down in the books as one of my favorites.
GRACIAS Disney Pixar for inviting me to the COCO Press Conference. All Opinions are my own.
As a Latina and a mother, I am over the moon and grateful that Disney has created a film that accurately depicts my culture. This sensational film is tearing down walls and stereotypes and presents my culture in a positive light. This timeless film encourages social change, in a violent time where Latinos are portrayed negatively and inaccurately by politicians and media.
Hear what Alanna Ubach, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Edwards James Olmos had to say to Queen Bee Latina below…
Here’s what my correspondent Clarissa Camacho asked the COCO panelists at the press conference.
CLARISSA CAMACHO:
“Hi. I’m Clarissa with Queen Bee Latina. And I’d like to thank you, first of all, for really being symbolic for the Latino community. So for the youth of the Latino community, what message would you like to take away from the film?”
ALANNA UBACH (voice of “Mama Imelda):
“Well, I think it was very important for Pixar to make a movie like this, because what they did was, if anything, they painted such – I mean, they – they did so –beyond my expectations, obviously, to quote Gael. But they painted such an exquisite portrait of the afterlife. And so you can only hope that – my son, who’s 12 weeks go –when he’s old enough to understand this movie, he can walk away saying, “Mama, I am not afraid of death. I’m not afraid of the afterlife.” What a beautiful world this would be if the afterlife was like this. Could you imagine? And also, that they really did pay such a respect to the one quality that Latin families, Latin American families have across, and hat is the importance of familia, and that is something that no presidents, or borders, or politics can ever break – that importance, the importance of familia.” HOST: Um-hmm.”
Gael Garcia Bernal is the voice of “Hector”
GAEL GARCIA BERNAL:
” Yeah, and so I have – I mean, I’ve been saying this a lot, but I really have to stress it over and over again, because – I mean, if I have to do a very personal dedication, this film is for the kids, the Latino kids growing in the United States, because in the official narrative, it’s been said that their parents, or grandparents, or great-grandparents are rapists, murderers, drug traffickers. And these kids are being born in a moment of huge, complete fear, and they have to fight against the lie, and it’s very complicated to argument against the lie. You know? And this film, or this expression amongst – with many other forms of expression that happen day to day, you know – it’s gonna be, it’s gonna give kids a way to feel confident of where they come from, of where their parents, great-grandparents, grandparents come from, to know that they come from a very sophisticated culture, and to know that they have the possibility to always have access to that hive, to that – you know, to that [PH] colmena of life, and that they can come up with new answers to what’s needed in life that we, as humanity, need right now. So it would be for them, it would be – I mean, this is my – you know, you asked about what, for Latino kids, no? Like, I think this would be the thing I would say, you know? I mean, this film opens up that discussion, and it is a beautiful reflection on death, and the celebration life. Yeah.”
Anthony Gonzalez is the voice of “Miguel”
Edward James Olmos is the voice of “Chicharron”
HOST:
“Hmm, interesting. Mr. Edward James Olmos, you have a – it’s a brief role, but a significant one, because it sort of sets up some of the rules of the Land of the Dead, and a character that’s not necessarily in its best stage. What was that like for you to play that character?”
EDWARD JAMES OLMOS:
“It was – you know, when they invited me to come up, Lee, and Darla – and they had invited me to come up to Pixar. And they said that they were doing this film, and they wanted to inform me about it, and ask me my opinion about it. And they were so incredibly respectful of the material that they were working with, that immediately, it transcended into understanding on my part. And when they asked me to play the role, I was privileged. I mean, this became a real honor, because it – that character is what the story is. I mean, every single person in the room that’s seen thatmovie understands very well that what it means is if you don’t remember your loved ones, they’re gone. If you don’t tell the stories of that loved one, they cease to exist. And it was that simple. And so when I ended up – they asked me to do it, I said, “Of course. It’d be my honor.” And so we went ahead and did it. But I didn’t read the script. They didn’t hand me the script.”
Benjamin Bratt is the voice of “Ernesto de la Cruz”
Director Lee Unkrich
Co-Director Adrian Molina
Go see Disney Pixar COCO with your entire familia on November 22nd!
