The Facial Bar is chic and trendy. It was so nice to catch up and chat with my girls.

The exceptional staff also made the whole experience worthwhile. I was asked a series of question regarding my skin. We also discussed my daily regimen. My consultant recommended the Brightworks Facial for my combination skin.

I was totally relaxed and almost fell asleep… The forty minute facial was fabulous!

Opening night of “The Bodyguard” the musical, at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in OC was a night to remember. My childhood friend and I shared a lovely evening with music that evoked nostalgic memories of our youth… This incredible musical brought us back to our High School years with classic songs like, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “One Moment In time.”

Deborah Cox is pitch-perfect and brings back timeless love songs back to life. “Run to You” and “I Will Always Love You” is celestial. I was lip singing during the entire show…

Judson Mills is stoic and convincing, but also charming. He is a total stud in his role as Frank Farmer “The Bodyguard.”

The choreography is upbeat and we wiggled in our seat to the music during the show.

The show ended with a standing ovation and the audience stood up and danced! We laughed, cried, and lip sang… My girlfriend and I talked about the unforgettable music and reminisced about our first loves on our way home.

Knott’s Soak City Waterpark In OC Reopens With A Big Splash

It’s that time again…

Knott’s Soak City Waterpark reopened with a BIG splash last weekend, and were thrilled to be invited to media day. It was 90 plus degrees outside, but we didn’t care because we were at a splash-tacular place to cool off!

The waterpark is bigger and better than ever before, and we love it!

Knott’s Soak City has added a 2-acre expansion and thematic renovation, new shaded seating areas, spacious cabanas and a newly remodeled Longboard’s Grill have been added to the water park.

Our family enjoys Knott’s Soak City in summertime, and I’m glad there is something for little kids, as well as the big ones…

My kiddos were ecstatic because we arrived extra early to try out the new water slides!

Shore Break towers over seven stories high and offers six different thrilling water slide experiences. Four of the slides will have guests climbing into an exhilarating Aqua Launch chamber which will send riders on a vertical free fall through a series loops and curves.

The newest family raft ride, The Wedge, takes up to 6 riders on a thrilling and exhilarating trip navigating twists and turns and a few surprise drops down the slide tower.

Review: An American In Paris At Segerstrom Center In OC Now Through May 7th

A classic is born! AN AMERICAN IN PARIS is sensational and it transported me into a world filled with romance, friendship, music, art, and ballet.

My mother has a great appreciation for classic music and theater, and I knew I had to take her to see this show. I’m thrilled that we got to spend quality time and experience the magic together.

The choreography was extraordinary and executed in true art form.

My mom raved about the costumes and the set design. She was born in the nineteen thirties, and she said that the show was accurate and true to the era.

The dreamlike scenes were flawless and continuously changing. We were often mesmerized and lost in a trance during the show.

The “I Got Rhythm” performance was astounding (my favorite part of the show) It is no surprise this new musical received fourteen Tony nominations.

Bravo! The audience gave the talented cast a standing ovation. This musical is simply wonderful and a MUST-SEE!

The City of New Orleans is a colorful, festive, and one of my favorite places to visit in the South. The food is unique, and has distinct flavors that are forever embedded in my memory book. After traveling and eating my way through “The Big Easy,” I have a whole new level of appreciation for Cajun cuisine. I was thrilled to discover that I don’t have travel far for the authentic flavors of the South. Reel Cajun Restaurant & Bar is now open in Garden Grove….

This month, I hit up this awesome spot with my foodie pals. We were blown away by the fresh selection of crawfish, crab, shrimp, and fish. Everything on menu was OMG delicious. This little hole in the wall is a Cajun food gem!

Score! I love places like this where I can unwind, eat good food, and enjoy a cold beer.

The menu has a variety tasty options and the prices are reasonable.

My favorite items on the menu were the garlic noodles with kielbasa and shrimp, boudin balls, and the crawfish. The cajun fries were also delicious..

Don’t forget the yummy sauces to dip everything in!

The flavors at Reel Cajun are bold and authentic. The Gumbo was delish and had just the right amount of spice….

The service was great and the staff was friendly…If you are in the Garden Grove area, this is a great spot to eat. Check out their Facebook page for daily specials..

Have you been to Bubblefest at the Discovery Cube OC? If not you should!

My family attended the Bubblefest exhibit at the Discovery Cube for the first time, and we were LITERALLY blown away by a gazillion bubbles… This interactive and educational exhibit is absolutely incredible!

Inside the Bubble Zone, visitors will get to create their own bubble art with wands, participate in science demonstrations, roll around in water spheres and so much more!

Deni Yang’s Mega Bubblefest Laser show is spectacular and mesmerizing! He has been performing since the wee age of 3.

My son was thrilled when Deni Yang picked him to participate on stage… “Mom, that was so cool!” He’s begging me to take him again…

Deni’s family holds multiple Guinness World Records, including most people in a bubble and longest continuous bubble.

This hands-on exhibit has been the most popular attraction at the Discovery Cube for two decades… And now I know why.

When I was a kid, I always looked forward to seeing the circus when it was in town. I remember my pops would purchase tickets for my entire family. It was a treat, and after all these years these special moments are embedded in my memory book.

I also look forward to creating memories with my family…With that being said, last week I took my family to see “The Cirque Magique” in Buena Park, California. It is not easy to find venues that my entire family can enjoy. So I was thrilled to take them to see this show.

The Cirque Magique Giveaway: Family 4 Pack

The Cirque Magique is Pirate’s Town Dinner Theater Complex’s family-friendly dinner show. This magical and unique circus-themed show has brought much joy and laughter to those who have seen it!

The highly interactive show features circus performers from around the world including a magician, clowns, acrobats, and jugglers. During the show a meal is served, with ice-cream for dessert.

The show is ideal for families with children and performs 3 days a week; Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Showtimes are subject to change.

This small venue offers a full “Big Top” experience. The clowns are hilarious and the magic was mesmerizing! This kooky fun show is full of surprises.

The menu is super kid friendly. I tried the tasty Angus Burger and enjoyed it. Our friendly waitress was also part of the show.

The audience willingly participated and there was never a dull moment.

I could hardly peel my eyes off the stage. There were numerous jaw dropping moments.

“The Cirque Magique” was entertaining for my entire family. My teenagers and my youngest son were fully engaged. They could not stop smiling. I’m so glad that we got to see it together and I would definitely see it again!

Review: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at Segerstrom Center in OC

“A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” made its debut at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County this week. My daughter and I have heard all the buzz about this musical, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to see it. I don’t think we were prepared for all the twists and turns that would unfold in this devilish kooky comedy. Round and round this rags to riches story gets juicier by the minute.

Review: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at Segerstrom Center in OC

GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession, by any means necessary. All the while, he’s got to juggle his mistress (she’s after more than just love), his fiancée (she’s his cousin but who’s keeping track?), and the constant threat of landing behind bars! Of course, it will all be worth it if he can slay his way to his inheritance… and be done in time for tea.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is “HILARIOUS AND DELIGHTFUL!” I can’t remember when I laughed this hard…

John Rapson, who plays every member of the dying D’Ysquith family is incredible! Rapson had several quick costume changes, stage right and left…. How did he do it? Kevin Massey (Monty Navarro) is brilliant and charming. His portrayal of this deceitful character was exceptionally executed. The ensemble was magnificent and extremely talented.

The music was catchy and cheeky…. “I’ve Decided to Marry You,” was our favorite number of the night. The choreography was brilliantly presented.

This spectacular show is full of laughs, suspense, and surprises!

My teenage daughter absolutely loved the show and has been raving about it all week. (This musical has a lot of adult content and is ideal for a mature audience). If you enjoy dark humor, you will love it too! Be prepared for a naughty fun-filled show.

Bravo! The show ended with a standing ovation….

Critics across the country are raving about Gentleman’s Guide, hailed as “one of the best new Broadway musicals in years” by Time Out Chicago. The New York Times raved “Gentleman’s Guide will lift the hearts of all those who’ve been pining for what sometimes seems a lost art form.” The San Francisco Chronicle applauded, “The story is sharp, the music and lyrics are bright and witty, and the national touring company executes the Broadway hit brilliantly!” Go see it!

Knott’s Berry Farm For The Cure-Through March 5th

I’ve seen many loved ones battle Breast Cancer and it’s frighting. The thought of this dreadful illness seems unbearable to me. Watching family and friends go through this ordeal is precisely why I am so happy that Knott’s Berry Farm is partnering with Susan G. Komen to raise funds for breast cancer awareness, research, screenings, and treatment education.

Knott’s Berry Farm For The Cure-Through March 5th

Over a half of Latinas detected with breast cancer are diagnosed in very late stages of the illness. Mammograms are crucial in the early detection of breast cancer. Early treatment can prevent the spread of this terrible disease. Many women are uninsured and not screened annually. In some cases women cannot afford the costs of screenings or treatment.

Now through March 5th, Knott’s Berry Farm and Susan G Komen are working together to raise money for breast cancer awareness, services and research by offering special “Pink Tickets” and commemorative Knott’s for the Cure t-shirts.

75% of the funds raised for Susan G. Komen are used to provide local services throughout Orange County:

Breast cancer detection and treatment education
Information and support for breast cancer survivors and families
Funding for free mammograms for uninsured and underserved women

25% of the funds raised for Susan G. Komen support national research to discover the cure for breast cancer.
