Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival is Back

Are you a foodie? If so…

You need to head to the The Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm! This spring event is going on now through April 28th.

Last week, my family went on a foodieventure at Knott’s, to try as many Boysenberry food items that we could fit in our bellies. As we walked through the park, we could smell the sweet and savory scents of the barbecues grilling. This year there are over 75 Boysenberry food items, ranging from churros, wine, craft beer, cotton candy, and even boba tea. What?!

This year’s food lineup introduces several new food items!

Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration is Back!

For a second consecutive year, Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration is back! Happening weekends now through March 10, 2019, plus President’s Day weekend February 11, 15 & 18. Admission is included with a regular park admission ticket or a 2019 Knott’s Season Pass.

Last weekend, my family headed to Knott’s Berry farm to celebrate with their favorite characters. It was opening weekend, and we could not wait to see what was in store! This special event celebrates the PEANUTS characters. Fans can step inside the pages of a Charles M. Schulz comic strips as the PEANUTS characters take over the entire park for the first time!

How cool is that?

The holidays have arrived and my kiddos are counting down the days to winter break!

Knott’s definitely knows how to put the Merry in Christmas, and there is just so many incredible things to do during this joyous celebration. It was a magical experience to see how our beloved theme park has transformed into a winter wonderland. Merry Farm is open now through January 6th, and is a great spot to visit during the holiday season with your entire family.

I found some unique gifts at Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village and fell in love with these adorable Christmas Tree ornaments.

Ghost Town transforms into a shopping wonderland filled with dozens of local artisans selling their unique gifts. Can’t-miss highlights of the Village include artist demonstrations of chainsaw wood carving and elegant glass blowing.

7. Let It Snow In Ghost Town!

Every night during Merry Farm, when the sun sets on the Farm, the buildings and paths in Ghost Town’s Main Street and School House Road are filled with glow and snow! Thousands of sparkling lights dance to the beat of Christmas music while snow gently falls in this spectacular one-of-a-kind moment.

8 Awesome Reasons To Take Little Kids To Knott’s Spooky Farm

Last weekend my family headed to Knott’s Spooky Farm to enjoy a spooktacular day at one of our favorite theme parks. Halloween can overwhelming and bit be hard on a little kids. There’s the costumes, loads of candy which are fun, but there’s also the ghastly gory stuff that can be a bit much for little ones. Not fun, especially for sensitive children…

Every year when Halloween rolls around, my son old feels completely left out of the Halloween loop, and he feels limited to the events he can participate in. They are just too spooky for him and or not age appropriate. Oh and the sadness he experiences when mom and his older sisters head to Knott’s Scary Farm…

I am always looking for kid friendly Halloween activities that my son can participate in, that won’t end with him sleeping in my bed or waking us up with a nightmare. I don’t want him to miss out on the spooky fun, and I want all my kiddos to have an awesome Halloween experience!

We hit some pretty awesome spots in the theme park that I want to share with you!

In Fiesta Village, join the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration in the Fiesta Stage area. The themed area offers a walk through village filled with photo ops, educational activities and face paintings ( for a nominal fee). I love to see all the colorful calaveras (skulls) in the gift shop…

6. The Monsters Are Coming Show

Families can watch the Peanuts Gang in “The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown,” where guests can sing and dancing along to classic Halloween music…So much fun!

7. Pumpkin Patch

Decorate your own pumpkin in Calico Park. Children can participate for a small fee. My son really enjoyed this activity!

8. A Trip To Camp Spooky on The Grand Sierra Railroad

The Grand Sierra Railroad in Camp Snoopy transforms to a one-of-a-kind experience which takes riderson an adventure, along with the Peanuts Gang, to Camp Spooky with added special Halloween theming effects.

It’s ROASTING HOT! Cool Off This Summer At Knott’s Soak City In Buena Park

It’s 110 degrees outside and its ROASTING hot, YIKES! What am I going to do with the kids to keep them cool? AC is turned on, we’ve eaten way too many popsicles, and being indoors is the pits. My teen daughter is on her cell phone again, and I can’t get her off. Grrr… My son yelled, “MOM, I’m hot and I’m bored!” I thought for a few seconds and had a solution, “Let’s go to Knott’s Soak City!” Our favorite Waterpark re-opened with a BIG splash this summer, and it’s the perfect splash-tacular place to cool off in this scorchio heat.

We then headed to the park to chill out and play! Andrew rides the water slides, even the big scary ones. He’s a daredevil and has no fear. I sit with my big floppy hat, drink a raspberry sweet tea, and float on the Lazy River. I look at my pale legs and think, gosh I need a tan. My daughter lays next to me, a slurpee in hand, “THUS IS GREAAAT MAMA!” she says with a mouthful of ice. I laugh. This is sooo nice… I ask myself, “Why didn’t we come sooner?”

LEGOLAND Deep Sea Adventure Is Now Officially Open!

It’s official… LEGO City: Deep Sea Adventure is now open at LEGOLAND California!

My little boy wiggled in his seat in the car and said, “MOM are we we there yet?!” This was millionth time he had asked in five minutes on our way to LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, California. Could I blame him for his excitement? After all, he was going to be one of the first to ride LEGOLAND’S amazing new submarine ride!

Champagne bottles were bursting with streamers and the crowd of media and special guests cheered as the submarines were christened for LEGO^® City: Deep Sea Adventure submarine ride at LEGOLAND^® California Resort. The interactive features more than 2,000 sea animals including several species of sharks, rays and other tropical fish amid new LEGO^® models all themed around a ship’s sunken treasure!

Andrew loves animals, anything Legos, and has always had an extensive collection of ocean toys. Making this ride, on the very top of his bucket list as soon as we read about it. We pulled up in the Legoland parking lot. “We’re here chicken nugget!” He paused for a moment, the excitement turning into a little dance.” Before I could blink, he was already en route to the ride with his little cousin. I ran to catch up to them, Andrew of course, already in the front of the line.

The boys screamed when we boarded the submarines! Stingrays, sharks and jaw dropping- tropical fish surrounded the side of the pothole. My entire family was quiet, we were all in awe with the wondrous animals in front of us. Little lego teams were showcased in the tour, identifying gems pearls, gold coins and more!

Guests can reach one of three levels during each ride: Junior, Senior and Master Explorer. Let’s just say….by the end of the day, Andrew wasn’t the only one who was a Master Explorer. That’s Queen Bee Latina Master Explorer to you!

This interactive treasure hunt, was so much fun!

Andrew his little cousin were in heaven, and I too couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the beauty of the sea creatures. “Mom, I want to be a scuba diver explorer one day.” he announced with a small grin.

The Apple fries are a MUST every time we hit the theme park!

LEGOLAND CASTLE HOTEL OFFICIALLY OPENING APRIL 27th

Hear ye Hear ye! The countdown has begun…

Last month, LEGOLAND California officially announced that they will be opening their new CASTLE Hotel on April 27th! I took a hard hat tour to get a closer look at the new resort, and let me tell yah this place is going to be INCREDIBLE!

During the hard hat tour, we got a first look at the 250-deluxe-themed room Hotel as we walked through the Grand Hall, Dragon’s Den Restaurant, Royal Courtyard and got a sneak peek of the three room themes…

As a little girl I dreamt of majestic castles, and distant lands… And now there is a such a place. My inner child was screaming for joy as we made our way through the new hotel!

If you are looking for some “royal treatment” this resort is perfect for you and your family! It is no surprise that the new hotel is already booking up.

This separate kids’ area will have LEGO building tables and a scavenger hunt in every room!

The rooms are grand, interactive, colorful, and fun!

Each room will also have a LEGO model to go along with the theme of the room. This LEGO Dragon was unbelievable! 2,100 LEGO models are made out of more than three million LEGO bricks that will be featured inside the rooms and throughout the Hotel.

My family loves to eat, and the dinning options at the new resort are AMAZING!

Inside Dragon’s Den restaurant, the head chef shared insight to the new dining options available at LEGOLAND California Resort’s only full-service sit down restaurant.

The Dragon’s Den restaurant will include an open kitchen for guests to watch chefs preparing their food, LEGO models, entertainers and locally-sourced food creating a unique dining experience that I know my kids will love!

A delicious breakfast will be included with each guest’s stay and includes made-to-order items along with a buffet.

We sampled the fresh delicious food and it was sooo good!

The Jester’s Bar Play Area

I love that the new hotel has several play areas and unique amenities for families and kids!

The Royal Courtyard outside was designed to immerse children in a fairy tale of their own creation with a DUPLO play area for the younger kids, larger play structures for the older kids, giant movie screen for nighttime movies, a stage for live plays and shows, a gradual incline pool and hot tub. The pool bar and grill will offer smoothies, sandwiches and salads prepared fresh to order.

Enhanced Pool Area- The new pool will have interactive water play features and a fabulous whirlpool spa.

Fans can step inside the pages of a Charles M. Schulz comic strips as the PEANUTS characters take over the entire park for the first time! How cool is that?

New character experiences, activities, live entertainment, and deliciously themed-treats will tops off this unique celebration…

The Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration takes place weekends starting now through February 25, 2018, plus Presidents’ Day. Admission is included with a regular park admission ticket or a 2018 Knott’s Season Pass.

Balancing Act -Camp Snoopy Theater presents an all new show where Lucy and Charlie put their talents to the test in Lucy and Charlie’s balance.

Beagle Bonanza-Also in Camp Snoopy, the Grand Sierra Railroad invites kids to celebrate with the PEANUTS Gang as they head to the Beagle Bonanza

My son had a blast at the Cowboy Jamboree… The games are great for little ones!

Cowboy Jamboree-at Calico Park, the boys are looking to challenge guests with some of the rootinest, tootinest games in Calico.

The Music Goes Round– During the day Sally and Schroder will host a retrospect of music in The Music Goes Round and Round where they’ll have the audience dancing in the aisles.

Pig Pen- Also in Ghost Town, everyone’s favorite messy pal, Pig Pen will be making his Knott’s Berry Farm debut as he hosts a special meet up at the Liver y Stables with some of his favorite animal friends.

The piglets were just adorable! Andrew said, “Can we take one home mama?”
