This weekend January 13 & 14 LEGOLAND California will celebrates the opening of the new 4D film, LEGO NINJAGO – Master of the 4th Dimension.

Guests are invited to join in the LEGO NINJAGO fun at the family theme park and meet some of their favorite “The LEGO NINJAGO Movie” characters including Lloyd, Sensei Wu, Kai, Jay and Nya. Guests can also participate in activities such as completing a scavenger hunt in Miniland U.S.A. and put their ninja gaming skills to the test with the brand new “The LEGO NINJAGO Movie” video game.

Have you been to LEGOLAND California during the holidays?

If not, you should!

Earlier this month, my daughter Tori and I put on our winter jackets, scarves, and gloves and headed to LEGOLAND California for their annual tree lighting ceremony. Hilary Duff was the evening’s guest of honor, and launched the spectacular event. Now through January 1st head on to LEGOLAND for some holiday fun!

My daughter grew up watching Lizzie Mcguire, and was thrilled to see her childhood icon up close at the ceremony. Hillary Duff, is popularly known as a star on the critically-acclaimed and buzzy TV Land series “Younger.” She spent the day enjoying all the attractions at the park with her son and family before heading to the giant LEGO Christmas tree for the evening’s festivities.

Prior to Duff pulling the switch that turned on more than 11,000 LED lights on the 30-foot tall Christmas tree, she was presented with a LEGO castle ornament as an invitation to return in the spring when the new LEGOLAND Castle Hotel is set to open!

At the ceremony, LEGOLAND California Resort donated $10,000 on Duff’s behalf to Baby2Baby, which provides low-income children ages 0-12 years with diapers, clothing and other basic necessities. By distributing to non-profit partner organizations including homeless and domestic violence shelters, Head Start programs, foster care programs and children’s hospitals, Baby2Baby will serve more than 150,000 children in Los Angeles this year and tens of thousands more across the country through the Baby2Baby National Network.

“I feel so fortunate to work with such an amazing group of people who really focus on mothers, children and babies tirelessly to give them the basic necessities that everyone deserves,” said Duff.

I love all the holiday decorations throughout the park!

NEW SHOW IN FUN TOWN – THE YULE TIDES

Santa’s elves don’t just make toys. Someone’s got to make the music too! These elves are decking every hall with carols old and new. Come listen to the holly, jolly, harmony, Yule love it!

Saturdays, December 9th and 16th till 7:00 pm in Fun Town.

All new this year, indulge in our Winter Holiday Market for some authentic “German Christmas Market” inspired treats like grilled sausages served in a roll with caramelized onions, Old World New England Clam Chowder, giant Bavarian pretzels and seasonal beverages – spiced wine, apple cider and specialty hot chocolate.

Earlier this month, I headed to Knott’s Merry Farm with the kids. Knott’s definitely knows how to put the Merry in Christmas, and there is just so many incredible things to do during this joyous celebration. It was a magical experience to see how our beloved theme park has transformed into a winter wonderland. Merry Farm is open now through January 7th, and is a great spot to visit during the holiday season with your entire family.

Spend the most wonderful time of the year with your family at Knott’s Merry Farm enjoying thrilling attractions, live entertainment, a Christmas crafts fair, festive food, lavish holiday decorations, and nightly snow in Ghost Town.

Ghost Town transforms into a shopping wonderland filled with dozens of local artisans selling their unique gifts. Can’t-miss highlights of the Village include artist demonstrations of chainsaw wood carving and elegant glass blowing.

LEGO^® City Deep Sea Adventure

The new Deep See Adventure Submarine is going to be AMAZING! In 2018, Merlin Entertainment will make the single largest investment in a LEGOLAND Park with a new attraction that takes families aboard a real submarine. Once inside, guests will be submerged underwater and immersed in an ocean habitat. This is the first time LEGOLAND will bring guests underwater to see more than 2,000 real sea animals including stingrays and exotic sharks. As guests look for lost treasures on a sunken LEGO shipwreck, they will also see LEGO octopi, marine tropical fish, and LEGO scuba divers. Touchscreens at each porthole will allow guests the opportunity to help the LEGO minifigure dive team identify gems, pearls, LEGO gold coins and more. The LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure submarines were inspired by and designed after the line of toys by the same name.

Knott’s Soak City Waterpark In OC Reopens With A Big Splash

It’s that time again…

Knott’s Soak City Waterpark reopened with a BIG splash last weekend, and were thrilled to be invited to media day. It was 90 plus degrees outside, but we didn’t care because we were at a splash-tacular place to cool off!

The waterpark is bigger and better than ever before, and we love it!

Knott’s Soak City has added a 2-acre expansion and thematic renovation, new shaded seating areas, spacious cabanas and a newly remodeled Longboard’s Grill have been added to the water park.

Our family enjoys Knott’s Soak City in summertime, and I’m glad there is something for little kids, as well as the big ones…

My kiddos were ecstatic because we arrived extra early to try out the new water slides!

Experience 7 new water slides!

Shore Break towers over seven stories high and offers six different thrilling water slide experiences. Four of the slides will have guests climbing into an exhilarating Aqua Launch chamber which will send riders on a vertical free fall through a series loops and curves.

The newest family raft ride, The Wedge, takes up to 6 riders on a thrilling and exhilarating trip navigating twists and turns and a few surprise drops down the slide tower.

Legoland Unveils The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Miniland

Are you a Star Wars fan? If so, there’s a new spectacular sight to see at Legoland,California! Legoland unveiled the Star Wars: The Force Awakens miniland this week, and my family cannot be more psyched!

Thanks to Legoland for inviting us to the unveiling. All opinions are our own. We are huge Legoland fans.

Legoland Unveils The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Miniland

The orchestra played, “The Imperial March (Darth Vader’s Theme)” song as we made our way to the new miniland. We were elated and counted down the minutes to the unveiling…

My children held their life sabers up high and cheered when actress Sara Michelle Gellar launched the event.

My son “dabbed” (dance) in excitement as he walked through the new exhibit…

The life size LEGO Star Wars characters were unbelievable.

The new miniland feautures:

An impressive 16-foot long Finalizer model made out of 350,000 LEGO bricks
Six new brick-built Miniland scenes from The Force Awakens
New The Force Awakens Minilanders including Rey, BB-8, Poe, Fin and more!

This extraordinary new exhibit displays six scenes all made out of LEGO that represent the first 30 minutes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens film which includes: Kylo Ren’s capture of Poe at planet Jakku; Rey’s rescue of the BB-8; Poe and Finn’s escape from the Star Destroyer Finalizer; The wreck of Finn and Poe’s TIE Fighter; Rey,Finn and BB-8’s escape from the Starship Graveyard. Lights, sound effects, and animation will further bring the scenes and characters to life fro the epic motion picture (I am totally geeking out)

Did you know over 500k LEGO bricks were used build this Star Wars Death Star?

We had a blast at the unveiling and were thrilled to be part of it….

I grew up watching the Star Wars Saga in the 80’s and I am a HUGE fan. If you plan on visiting Legoland, be sure to check out the new miniland. My entire family LOVED it and we know you will too!

Knott’s Berry Farm For The Cure-Through March 5th

I’ve seen many loved ones battle Breast Cancer and it’s frighting. The thought of this dreadful illness seems unbearable to me. Watching family and friends go through this ordeal is precisely why I am so happy that Knott’s Berry Farm is partnering with Susan G. Komen to raise funds for breast cancer awareness, research, screenings, and treatment education.

Knott’s Berry Farm For The Cure-Through March 5th

Over a half of Latinas detected with breast cancer are diagnosed in very late stages of the illness. Mammograms are crucial in the early detection of breast cancer. Early treatment can prevent the spread of this terrible disease. Many women are uninsured and not screened annually. In some cases women cannot afford the costs of screenings or treatment.

Get Your Your Tickets!

Now through March 5th, Knott’s Berry Farm and Susan G Komen are working together to raise money for breast cancer awareness, services and research by offering special “Pink Tickets” and commemorative Knott’s for the Cure t-shirts.

75% of the funds raised for Susan G. Komen are used to provide local services throughout Orange County:

Breast cancer detection and treatment education
Information and support for breast cancer survivors and families
Funding for free mammograms for uninsured and underserved women

25% of the funds raised for Susan G. Komen support national research to discover the cure for breast cancer.

Both the Calico Mine Ride and Supreme Scream will glow #KnottsPink now through March 5th.
