There are some movies that instantly take you back, and Coyote vs. Acme did exactly that for me.
Growing up, Saturday mornings meant a bowl of cereal, pajamas, and Looney Tunes on TV. Bugs Bunny, Road Runner and, of course, Wile E. Coyote were such a simple part of childhood, but seeing those characters again on the big screen brought back memories I hadn’t thought about in years.
Coyote vs. Acme takes that nostalgia and gives it a completely new spin. After years of ACME products spectacularly backfiring on him, Wile E. Coyote finally decides he’s had enough and takes ACME to court. The film mixes live action with the classic Looney Tunes humor we grew up with, while giving the story plenty of heart.
Starring Will Forte, John Cena and Lana Condor, the movie finally arrives in U.S. theaters August 28, 2026.
I also had the opportunity to sit down with Lana Condor and talk about the film, the world of Looney Tunes and being part of a movie connected to characters that have been loved for generations.
Watch my interview with Lana Condor below:
What surprised me most about Coyote vs. Acme was how nostalgic it felt without feeling stuck in the past. It reminded me why these characters have lasted for so long. They’re funny, a little chaotic and somehow still just as lovable.
For me, it felt like being a kid on a Saturday morning again, only this time I traded the cereal bowl for a movie theater seat.
Coyote vs. Acme is in theaters August 28.
