Alright horror lovers, get ready because Universal Studios Hollywood is bringing straight chaos to both coasts this fall and I mean that in the best way possible. Halloween Horror Nights is back with two brand new haunted houses that are legit giving me goosebumps just thinking about them.

You already know HHN doesn’t play but this year they’re coming for your sanity with Five Nights at Freddy’s and WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks. I got all the chills and thrills you need to know about below.

Step Into the Madness of Freddy Fazbear’s

Let’s talk about the terrifying animatronic elephant in the room Five Nights at Freddy’s. If you’ve seen the movie or played the games you already know this world is not safe. But walking into it That’s next level.

You’ll follow Mike’s story recently unemployed trying to keep his family together and probably regretting every life choice that landed him in a night shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. As you wander the halls of this creepy run-down entertainment center things go from weird to oh heck no real fast.

Freddy Chica Bonnie Foxy and even that deceptively adorable Mr. Cupcake are coming to life thanks to the legendary Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. These aren’t just costumes, these are massive hyper realistic nightmares stalking you through dark hallways flickering lights and jump scare central.

This house is a full body experience. I’m talking spine tingles sweaty palms and pure cinematic horror you can feel.

WWE’s Wyatt Sicks Is Horror With a Wrestling Twist

Now if you’re a WWE fan or even just a casual observer of chaos you’re going to lose your mind over this one. Universal Studios and WWE have teamed up to unleash The Wyatt Sicks and yes it’s just as deranged as it sounds.

This haunted house is a tribute to the late great Bray Wyatt and the disturbing universe he created. Led by Uncle Howdy also known as Bo Dallas The Wyatt Sicks are bringing pure psychological torment. Think dark carnivals twisted minds and disturbing alternate realities ruled by the likes of Abby the Witch Mercy the Buzzard Huskus the Pig and Ramblin Rabbit.

And of course The Fiend is watching you. Lurking. Waiting to be let in.

You’ll be pulled through a nightmarish maze of each character’s domain and let me tell you these are not cartoon villains. These are pure terror on a theatrical level. It’s storytelling meets horror meets the creepiest fever dream you never asked for.

Tomorrow, I’ll be walking in the 2025 CHOC Walk in the Park, a special event that means everything to my family. This annual walk not only brings the community together but also honors the brave children who have received life-changing care at CHOC Children’s Hospital.

This year, I walk for two incredibly strong young women: my daughter Elisha and my niece Jerrica.

Why I Walk: Our CHOC Journey

CHOC has been a life-saving partner in our journey for more than two decades.

My daughter Elisha was born with a rare chromosome abnormality (Chromosome 4q Deletion). From the moment she entered this world, CHOC has been there guiding us, treating her with compassion, and helping us navigate a complex world of 24-hour care and ongoing medical needs.

My niece Jerrica battled leukemia five years ago, and CHOC stood by her every step of the way with incredible support and care.

Elisha’s Story: A Miracle in Motion

When Elisha was born, doctors told us her life expectancy was only 7 years.

Today, she is 33 years old. That’s a miracle, one made possible through love, family, and the tireless efforts of the amazing CHOC medical team.

We’ll never forget the dedication of her pediatrician, Dr. Teresa Hollander, who often called us at home after hours and remained by our side through countless challenges.

Walking for Jerrica: Strength and Resilience

Jerrica’s fight against leukemia was incredibly tough, but she came through stronger than ever — and we are so proud of her. CHOC was a vital part of her journey, and we will always be thankful for the role they played in her recovery.

SLASH has created an original score for Scarecrow: Music by SLASH, a brand-new haunted house exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood. The story follows scarecrows acting as agents of revenge as Mother Nature strikes back at the sins of the past. SLASH’s cinematic soundtrack adds to the immersive fear as guests move through each terrifying scene.

Limited Edition Vinyl – SLASH: Music of Halloween Horror Nights Volume 2

Collectors and music fans can pick up the new vinyl-only release SLASH: Music of Universal Studios Hollywood – Halloween Horror Nights Volume 2. It features tracks from several past haunted houses, including fan-favorites like Universal Monsters and Eternal Bloodlines.

This follow-up to last year’s sold-out vinyl also includes a tribute from Halloween Horror Nights Creative Director John Murdy.

New for 2025 – The SLASH Bar at Jurassic Cove

A new addition to Halloween Horror Nights is the SLASH Bar, located above Jurassic World—The Ride. Guests 21 and over can enjoy cocktails inspired by SLASH’s music and a themed menu featuring Thai tacos and a signature SLASH Hat cake.

As guests sip and snack, they’ll be greeted by a SLASH scare-actor on stilts, complete with his signature top hat and hair.

Who is else is counting down the days until SUPER NINTENDO WORLD opens at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday, February 17? My family seriously cannot wait for this new park addition! Here’s the latest deets on the Power-Up bands that will be available during your visit.

With the grand opening date quickly approaching, here’s a topline overview of the Power-Up Band and its functionality. These wearable wristbands sync with Universal Studios Hollywood’s official free downloadable app and function as a complement to the land’s many interactive elements. The Power-Up Band is available for purchase in six design options with character themes, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad and Princess Daisy; choosing a particular character also defines which Team guests will be a part of.

With the use of a Power-Up Band, guests can elevate the overall experience by competing against other teams to achieve the highest score throughout the day by collecting the most digital coins. To see who’s in the lead, guests can check their personal and team scores by linking the Power-Up Band to the app or by referring to the Checkpoint Screens located within the land.

When riding “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge,” guests are encouraged to tap their Power-Up Band on the ride vehicle’s steering wheel. By doing so, they can track digital coins collected as well as gauge their ranking against friends and family, when synced to the official Universal Studios Hollywood app. The Power-Up Band will enable guests to enjoy “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” over and over again in an attempt to beat their best scores.

The Power-Up Band also unlocks additional gameplay activities and experiences, such as collecting digital coins and stamps when completing milestones within the land. Checkpoints positioned within SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will enable guests to track their status against others. Guests can also amass keys after winning Key Challenges from Goomba Crazy Crank, Koopa Troopa POWer Punch, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap and Thwomp Panel Panic – collecting at least three of them will ultimately allow access to the final boss battle with Bowser Jr.

While meet and greet interactions with Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach are accessible to guests visiting the land, the Power-Up Band may provide an enhanced experience with the characters. The Power-Up Band, however, isn’t a required purchase to enable guests to enjoy SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.

The Power-Up Band will be available for purchase within SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and guests are welcome to download the official Universal Studios Hollywood app prior to visiting so the fun can start from the moment they warp into the land via the giant green pipe. The Power-Up Band will be available for purchase, beginning February 17, at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD retail shops located in the theme park and on CityWalk.

Set against a multi-sensory backdrop of color, sound and movement, guests will be seated in stadium-style, four-seat vehicles as they navigate familiar courses through the creative use and integration of head mounted AR goggles. This unique feature is a key point of differentiation that distinguishes this ride from other theme park attractions.

The premise of “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” is simple but equally inspiring and challenging, appealing to guests of all ages regardless of gaming experience. As part of Team Mario, guests will steer through underwater courses and courses in the clouds to compete for the Golden Cup while collecting coins to defeat Team Bowser and win. “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” raises the stakes for guests as an intriguing and repeatable ride with a variety of outcomes.

Mount Beanpole: This towering landmark sits at the heart of the land and also serves as the entry queue for “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.”

Bowser’s Castle: Adorned with a breathtaking sculpture of a large and powerful Bowser, this structure serves as a key centerpiece of the land, home to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD’s signature ride, “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.” As guests navigate the winding corridors and pass through the hall of medallions and trophies of the ominous castle towards the “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” ride, they will learn more about Bowser’s calculated plans to defeat Team Mario for the coveted Golden Cup.

Power-Up Band™: These wearable, state-of-the-art wristbands sync with Universal Studios Hollywood’s free downloadable app to level-up the guest experience within the land and enhance its many interactive elements. These include, but are not limited to, keeping individual and team scores, collecting digital coins and obtaining keys after winning challenges throughout the land. Power-Up Bands will also invite guests to enjoy extra-special interactions with Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach. Interactive Gameplay: Within the land, guests will become fully engulfed in an engaging world of real-life gameplay, including punching ? The park it all decked out with holiday decorations this time of the year. The night lights up and the season vibe is like no other.

1. Meet n greets with The Grinch, his faithful dog Max and a roster of Who-ville Whos

During the holiday season, Nov. 25 – Jan 1, get together with the Grinch at a Who-tacular celebration to enjoy the music and fun of Grinchmas. Meet the maven of mischief himself, his dog Max, and favorite Who-ville residents. You’ll also witness the spectacular lighting of a one-of-a-kind Dr. Seuss inspired tree to join in a celebration of music, song and light. Plus much more. Put a little snark in your holiday spirit with the Grinch!

2. Nightly tree lighting ceremonies at “Grinchmas” accompanied by a snowfall flurry Topsy-turvey “Grinchmas” tree, twisting and turning over 65 feet in height

This is such a wonderful sight to see!

**3. Visit the Who-ville Post Office**

Kids can send their own personal letters to the Grinch! Universal donates to School on Wheels for every postcard sent! Isn’t that amazing?!

We met this lovely citizen from Whoville. She was spreading holiday cheer to guests.

4. Story Time with Cindy-Lou-Who

This adorable story time is great for the entire family! Cindy shares the classic, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

5. A cappella Frog Choir where Hogwarts students entertain guests with their harmonized holiday themed songs

This sensational group is so entertaining. We loved watching this unique performance!

6. “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” dazzling light show.

This show really blew us away. The orchestrated lights, music, and fireworks are truly spectacular! The show runs every half hour in the evening. This is definitely a MUST at the park!

My son is a HUGE Harry Potter fan and this is his favorite show.

7. Holiday-themed fare including hot Butterbeer will be available at “Three Broomsticks”

Hot or warm my family absolutely LOVES the Butterbeer. This non-alcoholic drink is to be enjoyed either way!

Don’t forget to visit one of Universal’s newer attractions, The Secret Life of Pets Off the Leash ride. This is one of my personal favorite rides. I love this bright, colorful and cheery ride!

There is so much do and enjoy at the park. There is truly something to enjoy for every age and for everyone in the family!

LEGOLAND California Celebrates 20th LEGO Tree Lighting Ceremony

And the countdown begins for Christmas!

Last week, Josh Peck and starof Hallmark Channel’s ‘Countdown to Christmas’ new original movie, “Inventing the Christmas Prince, helped Santa pull the switch to light the LEGO Christmas tree during the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony officially kicking off Holidays at LEGOLAND California!

This year marks LEGOLAND’S 20th LEGO tree lighting anniversary and were thrilled to launch the season with the family!

At the ceremony, LEGOLAND California Resort donated $10,000 on Peck’s behalf to MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.

Hallmark Channel donated $10,000 on Mowry-Housley’s behalf to Make-A-Wish. Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital is a non-profit, pediatric and maternity teaching hospital in Long Beach that treats more than 8,000 children each year, delivers more than 5,500 babies and has become a regional pediatric destination for more than 84,000 children who need specialized care in outpatient specialty and satellite centers. Make-A-Wish is a non-profit organization that grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish can be that spark that helps these children believe that anything is possible and gives them strength to fight harder against their illnesses. LEGOLAND and Mowry-Housley have both been longtime supporters of Make-A-Wish

We LOVE LEGOLAND this time of the year. There is just so much to do!

Your favorite holiday characters, Santa and the Toy Soldier, are back along with the Gingerbread Man! They’re ready for holiday hugs, pictures, and selfies.
Head over to Fun Town where there’s a 30-foot, fully decorated, LEGO® Christmas tree with over 400 LEGO ornaments. And as the day winds down, the tree gets a-twinklin to holiday tunes at the Holiday Light Show featuring falling “snow”.
Need more pictures? Hop on a sleigh with a life-size LEGO Santa that’s pulled by his trusted reindeer. Along with the holiday fun, food and live music, there are more than 60 rides, shows and attractions at LEGOLAND California Resort.
Check out our delightfully dazzling holiday shows, Santa approved of course, throughout the park all season long! Also, why not try some holly jolly themed food and drinks too?

For years, my family has been going to Knott’s Berry Farm in the summer. It is one of our favorite places to go this time of the year. We truly enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. Knott’s is sizzling this summer because there is something for everyone!

There are ALL NEW shows, foods, and new experiences you don’t want to miss. And yes, the rides are also a MUST.

My son Drew grew up watching Yo Gabba Gabba, and we got an early sneak peek of his new show!

DJ Lance Rock (of Nick Jr.’s award-winning show, Yo Gabba Gabba), brings his love of music, funky beats and family fun to the farm. During Knott’s Berry Farm Presents DJ Lance Rock, DJ Lance and his friends will take you on a musical journey that combines his passion for music, dance, play and education through two separate shows, Let’s Play! and Everybody Dance.

We enjoyed this super fun interactive show.

DJ Lance Rock is cooler than ever, and your little ones get to dance and engage with everyone’s favorite DJ. He is scheduled to appear on specific dates during the summer, so make sure to check out his performance dates before your visit!
